In addition to being a BMI composer/artist, Erik Jay is a writer, editor, and designer who lives in L.A. with his wife, Lydia, a certified spiritual director. His four-legged kids are Cecily, a seven year-old West Highlands White Terrier (of a champion), and Maximo (Max), a three year-old Shepherd-Pointer-Akita mix, a 90 lb. big baby baloney head.
Erik's surprising blend of jazz, pop, r&b, and Latin influences has gotten him radio play in Asia, Canada, Europe, South America, and Africa, as well as on non-cartel U.S. stations. He was an Honor Award winner (for "Vertical") at the 2002 Great American Song Contest; writes a daily news and marketing analysis for the top executives at New Line Cinema; produces a monthly column for a film industry magazine; maintains a music site at http://erikjay.com; and contributes to numerous print and web publications.
