Awards For Being Published

Writers and Photographers that are published the most in the Magazine section of A.Refuge will receive awards.

• If you get FIVE articles published to the Magazine section of the site, A.Refuge staff will assist you in obtaining contact information for subjects you want to interview/photograph. 

• If you get TEN articles published to the Magazine section of the site, A.Refuge will vouch that you are a freelance contributor to the magazine and do what we can to help you schedule an interview/photoshoot with your subject.

• If you get FIFTEEN articles published to the Magazine your next five articles will be featured on the homepage for a day each.

Students/Recent Graduates

Each quarter A.Refuge will create an article about the Writer and Photographer that had the most articles published during that quarter. The two will be the featured contributors and the stories will be featured for the entire quarter on the home page.

If the Writer or Photographer is a current student or recent graduate of a college/university A.Refuge will also do a special article about their school and the department they graduated from. This includes an interview with the Writer or Photographer’s favorite teacher.

Monetary Compensation

Until advertisements appear on the site there is NO income being made by A.Refuge. Once advertisements appear on the site a system will be put into place that will calculate compensation based on traffic for every article published to the Magazine section. Every Writer/Photographer with an article published to the Magazine section will receive notice that advertisements have been added and how the compensation system works.
