Dear Chris,

Here's our informal, amatuer-ish critique of your work (your notebook work:)

We will assume that these are finished pieces.

Your drawings of faces on notebook paper are great... you have a knack for faces... the lined notebook ground makes for a very informal/unfinished viewing and we wonder if the artist intends to portray his subjects as works-in-progress... what makes us question this is the facework itself... which is where the beginners always focus... i.e. it isn't quite believable. so we advise you to push your art. if your intent is to portray "unfinished-ness" you need to eliminate the amateurish obsession with faces... add partial background to provide perspective, and limbs as well, even if they are seperate from the faces ;)
